High-Precision Piercing and Cutting Technology

Materialaluminum

Size400 × 400 (mm)

We would like to introduce an example of a gate made from aluminum.
The key feature of this product is that we were able to faithfully reproduce a highly intricate design while working with aluminum, a material prone to distortion.

1. Managing Aluminum Distortion
Aluminum is more susceptible to warping compared to steel or stainless steel.
If cut straightforwardly from the edges, significant distortion can occur.
Through repeated prototyping, we determined the optimal cutting sequence and route to minimize distortion.

2. Reproducing the Intricate Design
This gate is both large and highly detailed, resulting in extremely large machining program data.
Loading the data into the machine using a standard program would cause memory shortages and stop the machine.
To overcome this issue, our engineers repeatedly refined and optimized the machining program, successfully resolving this second challenge.

3. Final Finishing
Any slight distortion remaining after processing was carefully corrected through the precise press work of our skilled craftsmen, resulting in an accurate and beautiful finished product.

Even with products that are difficult to process like this one, Yamada’s technical expertise allows us to meet our customers’ requirements.
If you are facing a design that seems impossible to manufacture, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Advanced Pipe Piercing Technology with State-of-the-Art Machines

MaterialSUS304 (stainless)
Plate thicknesst=2
Size60 × 60 × 230 (mm)

We would like to introduce an example of processing steel pipes.
The key feature of this product is our ability to perform bevel cutting on pipes.

Bevel cutting is a method of cutting where the cut surface is angled, rather than perpendicular.
When parts are assembled using conventional straight cuts instead of bevel cuts, the welding surface becomes larger, increasing the time required for welding and finishing.

As part of our active investment in advanced equipment, Yamada has introduced the TruLaser Tube 5000 fiber from TRUMPF, capable of 45° bevel cutting.
This allows two pipes cut at a 45° angle to be joined precisely when assembling parts vertically.
As a result, the welding surface is reduced, leading to lower costs and shorter lead times, while also producing visually appealing welds.

From sheet metal to pipe processing, you can trust Yamada to deliver precision and quality.

Advanced Complex R-Shaping through Feed Bending (FR Processing)

Materialaluminum
Plate thicknesst=2
Sizeφ123 × 160 (mm)

We would like to introduce a product made from stainless steel.
The key feature of this product is that we were able to achieve a complex conical shape through feed bending using general-purpose dies, without the need for custom dies.

Based on meticulously designed in-house CAD/CAM data, the conical shape was realized by bending the material dozens of times on a press brake.
Typically, performing feed bending multiple times can accumulate small distortions, causing misalignment.
Our experienced craftsmen carefully adjusted for these distortions during processing, achieving the desired shape within specified tolerances.
Even bends that are difficult to perform with general-purpose dies can be successfully processed thanks to Yamada’s expertise.

Creating custom dies for a press involves high initial costs.
Even in the prototyping stage, where budget constraints may prevent the creation of custom dies, Yamada’s technology allows for cost-effective prototyping.

High-Quality Welding with Minimal Heat Marks and Distortion

Finally, we would like to introduce a product made from stainless steel.
The key feature of this product is that we were able to achieve beautiful welds using a high-power fiber laser welding machine.

With conventional TIG welding, discoloration and distortion are significant, requiring lengthy finishing processes.
To overcome this issue, Yamada decided early on to introduce fiber laser welding equipment.

Initially, we adopted a 300W fiber laser welding machine, which provided satisfactory results with clean finishes for our customers. However, it was not suitable for thick plates.
To address this, we introduced the FLW-1500MT fiber laser welding machine from Amada, with a rated output of 1500W, capable of handling stainless steel and aluminum plates up to 4mm thick.
This allows us to achieve welds with minimal discoloration and low distortion, completing stainless steel welding cleanly and quickly.
Yamada excels not only in thin-plate welding but also in thick-plate applications.

If you are seeking beautiful welds, trust Yamada, equipped with state-of-the-art fiber laser welding technology.
